How to connect WriteSEO to your Notion account

WriteSEO works by periodically syncing with your Notion content and suggest point for SEO improvements. Before you can start using WriteSEO, you need to allow it access to your Notion content. Here’s how you do it…
 

High-level Overview

  1. Authorize WriteSEO integration to allow it to access your Notion workspace.
  1. Select the Notion page that contains your content database.
  1. Map your Notion database properties to help WriteSEO understand your content accurately.
 

Step #1: Authorize WriteSEO integration

  • Click “Connect your Notion account”

  • If you are not currently logged into your Notion account, you will be promoted to login.

Step #2: Select the Notion page that contains your content database.

  • Authorize WriteSEO integration by clicking “Select pages”

  • In the next screen you will be asked which Notion pages you would like to share with WriteSEO. Important: You must allow access to the page containing your content Notion database (learn more about Notion databases) In the screenshot below, I chose the page title “Blog content” as it contains my Notion database. After selecting the desired page, click “Allow access”

  • Now you will redirected back into WriteSEO’s integrations page, this time you Notion workspace will appear. If you’ve selected the page with your Notion database it should look like the image below Notice you should have a green checkmark for both “connected to workspace” and “Connected to database ID”. Please note: If you have a warning sign next to “Connect to database ID” it means that you haven’t allowed access to any page containing a Notion database. Re-authorize your integration and follow the on-screen instructions.

Step #3: Map your Notion database properties to help WriteSEO understand your content accurately.

  • Map your database fields (properties). At this point you should be able to point WriteSEO to your database property containing your content title as well as select how to identify you content pages.
 
  • When all the sections are marked with a green checkmark - you’re done! 🥳
